This is an instrumental called Crocodile Tears

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

It's the first song I wrote in Maui, and I recorded it using only a very cheap, palm sized 4-track recorder. The only gear used was my guitar and that Zoom PS-04 recorder, which had built-in drum machine, bass synth and guitar effects/amp simulators.

Another instrumental, titled 912

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

This is the second instrumental to come out of that PS-04. On this one, though, I did use my better guitar pedals and played real bass. This was written the day after 9/11/2001, hence the title. It was meant to represent the mayhem and warring emotions in my and, I am sure, many peoples' heads on that day after.

You should recognize this tune. Summertime

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

I recorded this using my brand new Taylor acoustic guitar to see how it sounded plugged directly into my recording gear (I have upgraded to computer based recording now). I used no sound modifiers whatsoever, just the guitar plugged into my audio interface and recorded with Cubase. I recorded the rhythm track and then overdubbed the lead track with no punch-in's, IOW, it is as I played it with no trickery or fixing ... other than the overdub. :-)

This one is a Mystery

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

This is my attempt at getting prog-rock artsy. Didn't quite get what I was going for, but I liked how it turned out anyway. Sit back a fill a bowl or roll a j.

We'll call this one, Mary Had a Little Lamb for now.

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

I've got some lyrics for this one. They're a bit controversial. Not that that bothers me, but controversial should at least be on pitch, so I hesitate to bless you with these words. One day (always one day ... I'll really start procrastinating tomorrow.)

Be warned: This is NOT an instrumental. I sing.
I call this Little Beach Blues

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

I wrote this after going to Little Beach in Makena, Maui. It is the local, clothing optional beach. Just remember to laugh at the lyrics, not my voice. Well, OK, if you must. This was also recorded on that PS-04. (Like you care, I know, but I do.) :-)

So you're a glutton for punishment?
Here I sing a punk version of Patsy Cline's Walking After Midnight, retitled, Stalking After Midnight

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

This was also recorded on that Zoom PS-04. But for this punk type sound, it kind of worked. Check out my jazzy solo. :-)

This one is called Misty Eyes ... and yes, more singing.

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

Another PS-04 masterpiece. This was written for a friend whom I never met but told me so much about who she was that I felt I knew her better than many people I have known in person. She was a brave and tenacious person who let nothing stand in her way.

This one is called Sunny Delight ... no singing ... yet.

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

I wrote this track, hoping to complete it with lyrics and all, for my Catalonian niece, Sonia. I was trying to be all hip and modern. Anyone have some words for it and can sing them to it?

As yet untitled track. For now, we'll call it, Silently Lying

0:00 / 0:00 vol 10

I was grooving to some Sonic D. and thought, "I could make a track like that". Well, OK, I can't, but it was a valiant effort, I think.
